Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH)
Postpartum Hemorrhage can be simulated on the Patient Simulator from one of two blood inputs:
The internal blood tank inside of the left thigh (with a capacity of 1.5L of blood)
The external blood tank connected to the Patient Simulator (with a capacity of 5L of blood)
The blood comes through one of two outputs:
The uterus, which can be inserted inside the pelvis
The Clean Bleed™ Mat: A sealed mat placed underneath the Patient Simulator where the blood can flow inside
Uterus for vaginal bleeding simulation
MamaAnne can be fitted with an additional uterus during Postpartum (PPH) simulation to simulate vaginal bleeding.

Additionally, a retained placenta can be inserted inside of the uterus before running a scenario meant to deliver the placenta. A piece of this smaller placenta can then detach from the rest and magnetically attach to the uterus. This is meant to simulate an incomplete delivery of the placenta and train in uterine sweeping.
NOTE
Interventions to stop the bleeding can be performed by:
Insertion and use of a balloon tamponade
Insertion and use of a JADA™ device
Bimanual massage
