Preparing the tibial IO with blood
- Attach an IV bag to the tibial tube. 
- Close off the pinch clamp. 
- Roll down leg skin to access the tibial IO module. 
- Remove the IO tape. 
- Lift out the module from the leg. 
- Remove the tube from the module. 
- Fill the module with 30-35 ml of simulated blood. 
- Connect the tube to the module and insert it into the leg. Feed the drain tube out of the back of the leg to ensure that there are no kinks. 
- Secure with tape. 
- Roll up the leg skin.
